My graphics card came with Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, a stand alone expansion pack for CoH.
I start the game up, and immediately get a message saying I need a patch to play online (~100mb).
I say no thanks, I won’t play online. But I only see a login screen.
Turns out they force you to log on to play SINGLEPLAYER. Okay, thats ridiculous. But I download and go on.
Start the game up after downloading and installing the 100 mb patch. It really doesn’t help that you have to sit through the intro movies every time (yes yes, you can delete the videos if you want).
What do I see next? “You must download a patch(~100mb) to play online”.
ZOMG.
Okay, I suck it up. Click okay and downlaod the next big patch.
Alrighty, finally we get to play. Restart:
“You must download a patch (~10mb) to play online”
OMFG.
Fine, its short, probably the last paatch. Restart again:
“You must download a patch (~77mb) to play online”
ZOMFG. This is ludicrious, rick-diculous, insane. WTF were they thiking? Somebody go shoot whoever is responsible.
This BETTER be the last time I see this message.
